The crane is one of the key components of a productive work day. With the 205F crane option you get our strongest crane yet with a lifting torque of 205 kNm and a slewing torque of 51.9 kNm.

It is developed with a focus on increased productivity in final cutting and plantation forestry. Combine it with our largest grapple model, G88H, for an even more productive work day. The grapple has a tip-to-tip area of 0.55 m2 and a newly designed, powerful rotator to ensure a smooth transition of the logs from the forest to the road side.

The 895 MY 2025 has a completely redesigned load space that consists of a robust gate with adjustable height and durable bunks with telescopic width extension. The entire gate can be raised and lowered hydraulically, and the foldable gate wideners can be locked in a folded or unfolded position. The bunks can be equipped with hydraulic stakes which provides more efficient crane operation during loading and unloading - it also contributes to reduced fuel consumption.

Komatsu forwarders have a powerful engine that combines strength with high torque at low engine speeds. This makes it ideal for operating in tough terrain while also reducing fuel consumption. The sturdy build and durable design helps minimise maintenance and repair costs.

High portal bogies provide good ground clearance, while the intelligent transmission adapts to the load and terrain, allowing the forwarder to work smoothly even in challenging conditions.

For plantation forestry, we offer the option of articulated bunk  wideners. This solution provides the best of both worlds - a wide load for optimized productivity and quick adjustment for transport. It can be combined with a lower bunk, which provides extra stability thanks to the lower center of gravity.

Servicing and maintenance are quickly and easily conducted. All daily servicing can be performed from ground level via easily accessible service hatches and the dipsticks are quickly and easily checked. Servicing is better facilitated by the electrically powered hood and strategically located filters.

High tractive effort and a strong transmission are some of the characteristics required for a forwarder to be operated in tough terrain. All Komatsu forwarders offer these advantages in the standard versions, but for particularly tough terrain, something extra is sometimes required in the form of endurance and strength. Therefore, we offer the XT option for some of our forwarder models. 

Komatsu 895 with the XT characteristics has better traction and higher offroad speed on the first gear. This is ideal for machines used in hilly terrain or for scarification.
