Komatsu 895

A reliable and productive partner

Komatsu 895

The Komatsu 895 forwarder is designed for high productivity. Every component has been developed and optimised for a load capacity of 20 tonnes. The 2020 year model is even more powerful than before. With even higher power, torque and tractive force the forwarder has outstanding performance for heavy loads.

More power for sustainable productivity

We have a brand new engine installation conforming to the latest emission legislation (Stage V). It also offers you many other advantages, such as an all new AdBlue system, a new exhaust system and hydraulic tappets. Despite the new larger engine installation we’ve managed to keep the same slim design with good all round visibility and views of the machine – right down to the wheels.

High load capacity

The new Komatsu 895 has a large bunk. FlexBunk, with its height adjustable stakes and ability to widen the bunk, provides a high load capacity. FlexGate, the flexible gate option, improves visibility and flexes out of the way if struck by the crane. This simplifies loading and minimises the risk of machine damage.

Maximum traction and manoeuvrability

The hydrostatic transmission system and the diesel engine’s performance are optimised to jointly provide maximum traction and manoeuvrability. A starting tractive force of 262 kN provides high torque at low engine speeds and traction is automatically adapted to changes in engine load due to terrain, obstacles, inclines and crane loads

Service friendly

Servicing and maintenance are quickly and easily conducted. All daily servicing can be performed from ground level via easily accessible service hatches and the dipsticks are quickly and easily checked. Servicing is better facilitated by the electrically powered hood and strategically located filters.

Smoother and faster transport

Komatsu Mini Steering Wheel means more space in the cab and a more comfortable driving experience. SpeedShift (Option) enables you to drive the machine at any speed between 0 and about 23 km/h without stopping to change gears – increasing productivity and saving fuel.

The transmission for tough conditions

High tractive effort and a strong transmission are some of the characteristics required for a forwarder to be operated in tough terrain. All Komatsu forwarders offer these advantages in the standard versions, but for particularly tough terrain, something extra is sometimes required in the form of endurance and strength. Therefore, we offer the XT option for some of our forwarder models.

Komatsu 895 with the XT characteristics has higher traction which means higher offroad speed. This is ideal for machines used in hilly terrain or for scarification.
