Strength and stability

Our forwarders for final felling are built to deliver high productivity in the forest. The stable design and high ground clearance allow the forwarder to easily navigate difficult terrain. With their powerful engine, which combines high torque with low fuel consumption, they can also handle tough conditions without compromising on efficiency.

The machine also offers a spacious load area and a strong crane, making it the perfect choice for demanding jobs.

Customise your load space for increased productivity

Komatsu forwarders offer flexible load areas with customisable solutions that increase your productivity. With the FlexBunk option, you can easily customise the bunks to match your specific work requirements.

If you choose the optional LoadFlex package instead, you get a flexible and efficient load space with optimised capacity. The articulated bunks are easily adjusted with the forwarder's crane, allowing you to customise the width of the load space for each individual job. What's more, the changeover is very fast, so you're ready to go from transport to production quickly.

The hydraulically height-adjustable stakes make crane operations faster and also contribute to better fuel economy.

The transmission for tough conditions

Komatsu forwarders are built for good off-road performance, but for particularly tough conditions, something extra is sometimes needed. That’s why we offer the XT transmission for some of our forwarder models.

A Komatsu 875 with the XT option is suitable for those who prioritise traction over speed, for example when the machine is often used on steep terrain. The strong transmission allows the machine to get around even in particularly challenging environments.
Komatsu grapple

Handle timber like a pro

Komatsu grapples are designed to deliver high productivity in tough environments. With a large opening and good retraction properties, the grapples make it easy to gather, straighten and grip timber quickly and efficiently.

The 11 different models, including specialised variants for bioenergy and heavy-duty applications, ensure there is a grapple for every need. Their robust design and high durability make them a reliable tool, helping you to work more efficiently and profitably.

Flex Bunk - Complete flexibility

Flex Bunk is our flexible bunk system that can be customised to meet your specific needs. The standard version includes fixed stakes and a standard bunk width, but with several options available to allow you to easily tailor your load space.

Hydraulically adjustable stakes provide faster crane operations and improved fuel economy. Using the widening kit, the width of the load space can be easily adjusted using the crane as required*.

Load Flex - Premium load performance

The Load Flex option optimises both flexibility and load capacity. The cleverly designed bunks allow you to easily adjust the width of the load space for each job. Narrow, medium or wide - the articulated bunks are quickly adjusted using the forwarder's crane.

The wide load space provides a low centre of gravity for increased stability and smoother off-road driving. The option also includes hydraulically adjustable stakes, for more efficient crane operation and lower fuel consumption.

Comfort Ride 2021

Komatsu Comfort Ride

A forwarder operator spends many hours a day in the cab, making a pleasant and comfortable work environment extremely important. Komatsu Comfort Ride efficiently dampens jolts and vibrations, ensuring an ergonomic work environment. This in turn contributes to higher productivity and better profitability.

The new generation of Komatsu Comfort Ride comes with comfort-enhancing features like adjustable sideways firmness and automatic side levelling at standstill and at low speed. The elevated unloading mode now also works at low speed, to make it smoother to reposition the forwarder at the landing. Great news for all forwarder operators!

Komatsu Smart Crane

Smart Crane

Since such a large share of a forwarder operator's working day involves crane operation, increased efficiency offers great potential. Smart Crane provides the operator with advantages such as simpler crane operation, less physical strain and higher productivity. Advantages that benefit both profitability and the operator's wellbeing. Everything to make it as easy as possible for the operator to focus on what is truly important – moving timber to the roadside.
